Senior Class Officers President, T. Warke; Student Council, R. Miller; Treasurer, R. Bredeweg; Student Council, E. Mohr, Vice Pres- ident, S. Luurtsema; Secretary, M. Brandt; Treasurer, J. Dejonge. CLASS MOTTO: We build the ladder by which we rise. CLASS FLOWER: Rose CLASS COLORS: Black and Gold The Graduating class of 1958, a few years ago, was a class of babbling freshmen. Thrilled to be entering their first year of high school. Thrilled to be able to hear the bells ring between classes and to watch our great basketball team. As freshmen we had our moments of triumph and joy, but also of dispair. We were then sophomores. By this time we were feeling quite at home in our new role as high school students. We were calming down. Before we realized it the school year came to a close and our Junior year was beginning. We presented a successful play Strictly Formal.” Then it came time to make plans for the Junior-Senior Banquet, which carried out the theme of an Enchanted Forest. In 1957 we entered the corridors of Hudsonville High School as Seniors. The memories of this year shall live on forever. As we pro- gressed through high school. We were beginning to realize that we did not know everything and we were just barely scratching the surface of knowledge. We wondered many times what the future held in store for us. It doesn't seem like a reality; a senior year, a few big events, senior play, the Junior-Senior Banquet, our trip to Washington D.C. and last our graduation. Let us say, it has been wonderful to look back on our High School career as being the best time of our life. 12
