CL Wdl We, the Senior class of one thousand nine hundred and fifty-three, dwell- ing in the village of Hudsonvllle, being of semi-soundness of mind and body and unhampered by any fraudulent enforcing agencies, do hereby and now claim and publish this to be our last scribble thereby disposing of our cherished possessions as follows: To the Faculty, we, as a group, bequeath our youthful ideas, our sunny dispositions, and our even tempers. To the Freshmen, we give any overlooked gum that we left sticking to the underside of desks, or any likely or unlikely places. We have some- times had to rid ourselves of it in too much haste to be able to choose the most desirable means of disposal. To the Sophomores, we will our dignity, efficiency, and intelligence in hopes they don't chuck them In the waste paper basket. To the coming Seniors, we leave our serious thoughts of the future, our dignity and good reputation, in hopes that they won't pull too much wool over the teachers' eyes. Personal riches of individuals arc willed as follows: 1, Yvonne Alward, being of kind heart, leave to the Girl's Basket- ball team my sister, Linda. I, Marilyn Avlnk, leave my never to be exhausted supply of jokes to anyone in this fair school, who may be in need of a little brightening up. I, Delores Baarman, will my short hair cut to, Bonnie Locw, long may it wave. 1, Eleanor Blair, will my broadmindedness to those who arc willing to use it. I, Eugene Blodgett, bequeath my flowery speeches to next years garden. I, Ted Bosgraaf, leave with all the students my philosophy that to study is vain, to sleep is to gain . 1, Bob Bosscher, will my job as manager of the basketball team to any one capable of filling the position. 1, Emily Bouwkamp, will my quietness and modesty to Thelma Harm- sen. I, Jim Brandt, gladly bequeath my A's to Roger Emmert, hoping they will get him out of the dog house. I, Leona Bredeweg, will my chewing gum, as a donation to charity. 1, Mildred De Klein, will my giggle to Ruth La Huis, may she not mis-use it. I, Eleanor Doehrlng, refuse to will my Burnips , friends to anyone, as I want them myself. I, Gary Deters, will my record for being tardy to anyone who thinks they can match it. I, Duane De Weerd, bequeath my janitor job to the most worthy of the Juniors. 1, Melvin De Weerd, bequeath a portion of my good humor to the faculty. I, Norma De Went, do hereby gladly bequeath my modesty and ti- midity to anyone who is sadly lacking. I, Mary Lou Elenbaas, will my ability to skip gym class to anyone who feels they should leave. I, Alberta Hannink, will my Civics notes to the F.B.I. -maybe they can read them I I, Jo Driesenga, will my seat in English Lit. to anyone who will take it. 1, Jean Hoekstra, will my long brown hair to Joyce Bosgraaf. I, Marilyn Hoekstra, refuse to will my diamond to anyone. 1, Charlotte Hozee, will Jim Hubbard to Shirley Vander Kooy. I, Roger Hozee, will my seat in first hour Study Hall to whomsoever can get there before the last bell rings. 1, Ronald Hoffman, will my weight lifting ability to Calvin Hannink. I, Marilyn Hopp, will my flute to anyone who will use it to the betterment of the band. I, Reva Kole, leave rhythm to the band. 1, Warren Kunzl, satisfied with the beauty of my hair, leave my bobby pins and curlers to Loy Dykstra. I, Clyde Loew, will my seat in Shorthand class to anyone who wants it and will throw in a slightly used text to boot. I, Shirley Luurtsema, leave my name, steady girl, to Helen Maring. I, Bonnie Luyk, will my days in the hospital to anyone who feels they need a vacation from school. I, Janet Meekhof, will my small, quiet voice to Kay Wagner. I, Beverly Mohr, being in a generous state of mind, will my faith- fulness to Jim Brandt. I, Eleanor Nagelkirk, will my fifth hour sessions in Mr. Norlin's room to my sister Margie. I, Mabel Neuman, will my quietness to all the Freshmen. I, Betty Nyenhuis, will my Interest In basketball and my giggle to Lorraine Nicnekcr. I, Barbara Ohlmann, will my twirling uniform to anyone who can stretch as fast as it can. I, Josephine Parker, will to one of the Juniors my locker, with the thought that something is better than nothing. I, Raymond Peuler, will all my nicknames to Daryl Teed, maybe he can make use of them. I, Louie Roberts, wish to be willed to Barbara Ohlmann. 1, Barbara Rynbrandt, will my serious thoughts and quiet manner to Betty Schoolman. I, Bob Sarber, will to Richard Ver Hage my slow, indifferent attitude toward everything in general. I, Bob Sawyer, will my record for getting to school on time to any one who is often tardy. I, Myrtle Veldman, will without tear-shed my seat in civics class to anyone who will take it. I, Alyce Ver Hage, do hereby bequeath my sweet smile and loveable nature to my sister, Dorothy. I, Patricia Ver Strate, will my ability of finding out things to the faculty. 1, Roger Ver Strate, will my quietness to Ronnie Pribbie. I, Joanne Vruggink, leave to the Junior Girls a problem-(Boys). 1, Shirley Vruggink, do hereby reluctantly will my formula for being short to Helen Van Dyke.
