And now w’e are all tempted to grieve because it is time for us to leave. We chose our colors, black and white to wear on high school graduation night. Perseverance’' the motto we chose along with our class flower the yellow rose. 16

CLASS POEM To our alma mater we say adieu and will do our best just for you. Now that we are leaving Huston Hi, we will never forget the days gone-by. —Donna Lucore CLASS SONG All our high school days have gone too fast, And now those days are in our past; So long ago. We chose our motto perseverance To guide us on through dreams and chance; So long ago. With our yellow rose and gowns of white, We ventured forth on from that night To reach our goals. To teachers and friends, we said adieu To see what we could do for us, For God, and for our nation true. —Vicki McGaha Donna Lucore (Tune: Allegheny Moon)
