Joyce Nelson, Peggy Mitchell, and Mrs. Hall. HISTORY In the fall of 1953, we entered school as first graders, some going to Penfield with Miss Askey as the teacher, and others going to Tyler with Mrs. Cloud as the teacher. We continued with the same teachers during the second year. In the third year of school we were all together at Tyler with Mrs. James as our teacher. Two children were left behind when we passed on to the fourth grade. One pupil moved away that summer. In the fourth year at Tyler, our teacher was Miss Kehoe. There she also had half of the fifth grade. With Mrs. Gates as our teacher the fifth grade was much the same as the others. Two children joined us there. Just before school closed we lost one. In the sixth grade, we gained three pupils. Mrs. Hall was our teacher. It was her second year at Tyler. In the seventh grade, two pupils joined us. Mrs. Hall was our teacher. We have had an enjoyable seven years at Tyler, and we are looking forward to five more at Penfield. 24

The 1959-60 Basketball Season opened on December 9, 1959, when the Trojans journeyed to S.S.C.D. The Trojans who had a bad season (1-11) will be in contention next year. The season closes on February 26, I960 with a game with St. Francis of Clearfield.
