CLASS POEM For four long- years at Huston High We traveled much too slow, Now that it’s time to say farewell We do not wish to go. We find it really hard to say Good-by to all our friends, To know that all familiar things Have suddenly come to end. We each must go our separate ways Into this world of strife, And try to make the most of all The things we’ve learned of life. We thank our many teachers Through twelve long years of school, For knowledge and good citizenship, And for the Golden Rule. And as we leave our Alma Mater Some will have regrets, But the wonderful things we learned there, We never will forget. The years just passed, were wonderful The years ahead brand new, We leave with head and heart held high And may success come true. Good-bye old Alma Mater, Good-bye Maroon and White, We’ll try to be a credit And try to do what’s right. So now we’ll travel forward Through life’s vales and hills And with our Huston training Succeed, we can, we will. Donna Snyder

As a farmer Bill will be, The greatest one in history. Clancy as a used car dealer, How much you want to bet he’ll be a stealer. Harwood’s mouth will carry him far. As an umpire he’ll be a star. Larry as an engineer, Will bring the future nearer and nearer. Irene Kentoski Nina Guido Veronica Sherry

CLASS SONG Tune — Moments to Remember The years have passed And we must go Into the world Of sin and woe. We will have old Huston to remember. Our goal in life Is to go far And hitch our wagon To a star. We will have old Huston to remember. Though we are now to leave you And to go our separate ways The friendships we were glad to share Will last through endless days We hate to say Goodby to you But now our years With you are through. We will have old Huston to remember. Linda Swartz Lucrisha Hutchins Mary Keller
