CLASS PROPHECY As we look into the future, we see our classmates as following To Patty nursing is a wealth, Nursing Jerry back to health. Donna’s tired of single life, She’d rather be a Senior’s wife. Georgia, as a scretary in D. C., We see sitting on the boss’s knee. JoAnn will yell for Red and White, Come on Temple Fight! Fight! Fight! Helena as our singing girl, We hope she’ll give the Met a whirl. Irene, as we shall see, Comptometer operator she will be. We see Veronica on T. V., Advertising “Pepsi”. Nina’s working hard at last, Trying to forget the leisure past. At C. S. T. C., It’s Aileen we shall see. Paula in a Business School, We hope she keeps the Golden Rule. Mary as Jack’s wife, We hope she lives a happy life. Linda is a very nice one, In the future she’ll be Mrs. Bricen. Lucrisha at the glass factory, Making glass for you and me. Jerry can do it if anyone can, He’s going to be a 20 year man. Tom we see as a working man, Making money for Donna and Sam. Our Dubby we shall see, Figuring out, What is M. D.? Jim we see as a hot rod racer, And as a great woman chaser.

CLASS POEM For four long- years at Huston High We traveled much too slow, Now that it’s time to say farewell We do not wish to go. We find it really hard to say Good-by to all our friends, To know that all familiar things Have suddenly come to end. We each must go our separate ways Into this world of strife, And try to make the most of all The things we’ve learned of life. We thank our many teachers Through twelve long years of school, For knowledge and good citizenship, And for the Golden Rule. And as we leave our Alma Mater Some will have regrets, But the wonderful things we learned there, We never will forget. The years just passed, were wonderful The years ahead brand new, We leave with head and heart held high And may success come true. Good-bye old Alma Mater, Good-bye Maroon and White, We’ll try to be a credit And try to do what’s right. So now we’ll travel forward Through life’s vales and hills And with our Huston training Succeed, we can, we will. Donna Snyder
