HOMEC OTEI N G The homecoming festivities for 1950 began Thursday eve- ning with the coronation ceremonies. A very attractive stage decorated in black and gold was the setting. The drill team, under the direction of Mrs. Ray, impressed the audience very much with their performance. An isle was formed by them for the royalty to pass through. The Student Council President, Glenn Larson, crowned Clara Hazel to reign as queen with Anita Egge, junior high attendants Charlotte Hagen, freshmeng Shir- ley Roti, sophomoreg Darly Anderson, juniorg Shirley Jones and Sharon Wegner were the senior attendants. The train and crown bearers were Sylvia Strain, Carol Christopherson, and Robert Fitch respectively. Corsages were given the attendants and the queen received a bouquet. Im ediately following Coronation a snake dance around a huge bonfire was held behind the school building. The snake dance continued through the business section of town with a pep rally on main street. On Friday afternoon preceeding the football game with Irene a large parade headed by the color ouard with floats from high school classes, grades, and also some business places particinating. The seniors taking first on their very clever float, the junior's humorous float took second, and the F.F.A. with their impressive one took third. The drill team was followed by the convertible with the queen, train and crown bearers to the field. All who attend- ed were very well pleased with the Trojan's victory this be- ing the first Homecoming for some time that our team was not defeated. To close the two days activities an alumni banouet was held in the evening. The main attraction being Dr. 1.33 Weeks from the University of South Dakota.
