On Sept. 3, l9h7 nine girls and thirteen boys cane into the Hudson High School as Freshies. They were Petty Duncan, Clara Hazel, Hilma Kruse, Mary hells, Romona Wood, Shirley Jonealboris Fowles, Alyce Batchelder, Sharon Wegner, The boys were Darrell Fowler, Gerald Krause, Glenn Larson, Eugene Johnson, Gerald Toft, James Roti, Roger Miller, Merle Eli, Frank Myers, Royce Miller, William Voselzang, Norman Anderberg, and Richard Wold. In Jan. of our Freshman year Delores McNeil and Robert Richter joined our class. A When we beaan our sonhomore year we added to our enrollment Eleanor Vipond, and Nyle Groth while Merle Eli strayed away to Calif. during the summer and Alyce Batchelder to Hawarden. When we began our junior year we lost Funere Johnson, Mary Wells, and James Roti to Canton Hieh School, Pohert Richter to 4 working on the farm, Richard Wold to workine in the Smith Fleet, and Pyle Groth to Arizonia. The summer tetwecn our junior and senior year Dolores McNeil went wmndcrinq off to Fort Dodqe, Iowa. Outstanding events during our senior year were freshren Initiation, Going to Sioux City to have our pictures taken, and Homeconimg, at which Clara Hazel was Queen and Sharon Leqncr and Shirley Jones were Senior Attendants, Skip Lay, Career Day, Class Play, out of our class four students went to Sioux Falls to take an University Test they were Clara Hazel, Frand Myers, Shirley Jones, and Hoyce Miller. In Declam Frank Myers took superior in the state. Baccalaureate Services were held Sunday, May 20, and Commencement Thursday evening, May Zh, The Class colors that were chosen were red and grayg the class flower a red rose.
