MW Marguerite Ringler Latin Student Council. Adviser To serve is the purpose of the council. Its 24 regular and 12 alter- nate members represent the student body in this organization. The councils work may be seen throughout the school; its iniiuence felt throughout the year. The council arranges some of the assemblies, chooses the noon movies, arranges for the distribution of food, cloth- ing, and toys at Christmas, and dedicates its efforts to the school and community. From the Student Lounge to the Hudson A. F . S. chapter, our Student Council works to serve. h The Student Council is also in charge of creating school spirit. The Pep Club does this by supporting our teams. 1 lw..: ..,..1y .9 7!: II- ,iloL W 0 D W W m a P. L , Assistants as Teachers Bubb1e, bubble . . . This one only missed 6. Debate Club is new to Hud- son High this year. In its iirst year it has been highly successful. Club members have competed in novice divisions against many of the outstanding schools throughout Northeastern Ohio in National Forensic League tournaments. Although they won no trOphies, they ended their first year by winning over 697?; of their debates. Three times they came within one victory of winning division titles and tr0phies. The Club hopes to expand to between twenty and twenty-iive members next year and to held varsity teams for the first time. The debate season runs from December through February on Saturdays with after school meetings and practices at regular intervals. re young , WW6 we ,.--M-w.
