The team placed 3rd in the LCAA at Centerview golf course and tied for 1st at Regionals at Whiteford Valley Golf Course. They placed 6th at Fayette Inv. and 16th at State finals. The team almost met the school record of 147 at the Addison game where they scored 155, the best for the season. With the help of coach Louise Nelson they continued on in their winning season by defeat- ing Clinton, Addison, and Pittsford. They had a large team of 13 but they played together hard and hustled throughout the entire season, end- ing up with a season record of 9 wins and 4 loses. Coach Norm Gadzinski. 54 1983-84 CHEERLEADING SQUADS The 1983-84 cheerleading squads had a great time cheering on the mighty Tigers, whom they were very proud of. They got along great this year and it showed in their performances. J.V. and Varsity each performed unique pom-pon routines to entertain the home crowds. The cheerleaders supported the team by locker signs and by holding a breakfast for the Varsity team on game day when there was no school. The student council sponsored the homecoming floats and dance. The NHS had a very successful year. They raised $1500 in their annual rock-a-thon. The money earned was contributed to the NHS scholarship fund, and to the “make a wish program. Other activities include the Senior Citizen Christmas service project, Easter activities at Lincoln elementary, and working at fun night. 60 SPANISH CLUB The Spanish Club was very active this year. They sponsored dances and conducted many sales including an “Easter bunny for your honey,” that was very successful. They also traveled to Toledo for a Spanish- American play that everyone enjoyed and possibly learned from. A few students are saving for their trip to Mexico, as many have in the past. They made a presentation to the middle school in the fall. In the winter they had a tour of the county agency refural offices.
