faculty Kates Migti With Students Lucile H. Beech, a new teacher in the Hudson Area Schools, received her B.A. degree from Bethany College in Western Virginia. She received her M.A. degree from the University of Michigan. Mrs. Beech formerly taught in Deerfield, Michigan, and teaches English in our school system. She is Future Teacher advisor and in addition to this teaches American Literature at night at Adrian College. Lucile H. Beech Ray J. Curran received his Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University and is now working on his masters degree. Mr. Cur- ran is the J.V. football coach along with being advisor of the golf team. He teaches American Government Economics, Citizenship, and U.S. History. Mr. Ray J. Curran Marti Lee Burgett is a new addition to the Hud- son Area High School teaching staff. She is a graduate of Bowling Green State University in Ohio, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree. Miss Burgett teaches Girls Physical Education, Health, and Biology. Also she is G.A.A. and cheerleader advisor. Miss Marti Lee Burgett Edmund DeLine received his A.B. degree from Huntington College in Indiana. He has also attended Northern Illinois University, Dekalb University of Illinois, and Sacramento State College. He has received his masters degree from the University of Michigan. Mr. DeLine teaches Chemistry, Physics, Physical Science, and Biology I. In addition Mr. DeLine is head of the audiovisual department, Bible and Science Club advisor, and also Senior class advisor. At the present time he is working on his masters degree. Mr. Chil- cote teaches Algebra I n. Solid Geometry, Trigonometry, and is J.V. basketball coach. In addition to these he also is the sophomore class advisor. Mr. Gordon O. Chilcote Another new teacher. Miss Margaret DeMeritt, received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Adrian College. Miss DeMeritt teaches typing and English n. She is also the active advisor of the Junior class. Miss Margaret DeMeritt Charles Cotter is a graduate of Abilene Christian College in Texas where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. Prior to coming to the Hud- son Area School System, Mr. Cotter was in the service. He teaches shop in the High School and Junior High. Mr. Charles Cotter

Mrs. Frances B. Freeborn Ruth Alice Goodlock received a Bachelor of Science from Iowa State University. At the present she is working on her M.A. degree at Michigan State University. Mrs. Goodlock teaches Home Economics, and Home and Family Living. She is also Future Homemakers and Future Nurses advisor. Mrs. Ruth Alice Goodlock Mr. David Hinkle Frances B. Freeborn is a graduate of New York State University where she received her B.S. degree. At the present she is working on her masters degree. Mrs. Freeborn teaches Eng- lish and Speech. In addition she is advisor of the Forensic Team and is Chairman of the English Department. Mr. Jerry Godfrey Jerry Godfrey received his Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University. Mr. Godfrey teaches Agriculture I, H, in, and General Math. In addition he is Future Farmer Advisor. Joyce B. Kelley received her B.A. from Hillsdale College and is working on her M.A.L.S. degree at present. Mrs. Kelley teaches American Government Economics and is the School Librarian. Mrs. Joyce Kelley David Hinkle received his Bachelor of Science degree from Hillsdale College. He teaches Spanish I, Boys Physical Education, and U.S. History. Mr. Hinkle, in addition is Varsity Basketball coach. Mr. Phil Holtz, our Shop teacher, received his B.S. from Eastern Michigan University. This member of long standing of the Hudson teaching staff, teaches General Shop and Mechanical Drawing. Opal James received her Bachelor of Arts de- gree from Adrian College. Mrs. James teaches English I and is Senior and Junior Play advisor. 9
