t r a t ion Joseph S. Zapytowski, Edward Hackett- trustee, Richard Goodrich-trustee, Rich- ard Berlin-trustee. Vie sincerely appreciate the op- portunities they have created for us; and we believe that in the future, they will provide the students of Hudson Area High School with even greater opportunities. The Hudsonian” is a yearly record of the most exciting times in one’s life. In the future you will reflect upon the school, activities, joys, and sorrows that occurred during the 1960 - 61 school year. Unfortunately, Miss Osgood was unable to be with you because of her illness, but I am sure her Hudsonians” will bring many fond memories to her in the future. Likewise the graduates of 1961 will find their Hudsonian” full of memories in the years ahead as the challenge of the Sixties dawns. The responsibilities that face each and everyone of you are tremendous. All must be aware of their environment and find enjoyment as well as motovation to meet the daily prob- lems as well as reaching future goals. Develop all of your potentials as one never knows when they will be needed. Mankind has struggled for thousands of years to develop a democracy for men to live in freedom and to enjoy it’s blessings. However, do not forget freedom will exist only as long as each individual accepts the responsibilities to his fullest. What will the future be for you? Who would have believed forty years ago that man would be flying at more than two thousand miles per hour ! Your life is before you. Make the most of it! Success to each of you in the future. Mrs. Doris Kinsey Secretary Douglas J. Ferman Principal

A d m i n i s School Walter Graves-secretary, Preston Town- send-vice president, Russel Leffingwell- treasurer, Edward Engle-president IT IS MORE BLESSED” Centuries before Christ gave the world the Golden Rule”, Plato said, The strength of a democracy is judged by the quality of the services rendered by its citizens.” Both of these thoughts must be most seriously considered by you who take your place in the adult community. Service to your fellow man and service to your country are extremely important today when many seem to feel that the quality of services rendered by government to citizens indicates the strength of a democracy. Our democratic society will grow to new heights of spirit- ual and economic strength and quality as you and your fellow graduates throughout the country take up the torch of service to God and to mankind and only as all of us adopt the philos- ophy that it is more blessed to give than to receive. Joseph S. Zapytowski Superintendent We wish to express our thanks to the Board of Education for the fine work they have done. Their task is not always an easy one. They spend many hours making decisions for the betterment of our futures. Mrs. Juanita Welch Secretary
