In the Senior High, we have three history teachers: and Mr. Terrill. Mrs. Weisenfelder, Mr. Ridgley, Mrs. Weisenf elder has taught school for eight and a half years, of which three were spent in Hudson. She teaches World History, United States History, and Social Science. Her favorite subject in teaching is World History. She attended college at Denison Uni- versity and University of Michigan, receiving an A.B. Degree. She chose this vocation because she likes to work with groups of people. At the same time, she has an oppor- tunity to read and learn more about her favorite subject. Mr. Ridgley has taught school for twenty-six years. He is the principal of the Senior High School. Mr. Ridgley also teaches government. He has taught four years in Hud- son. He chose the teaching vocation because it was a natural interest. His recreation hours are filled with reading, hunting, fishing, and listening to the radio. His hobby is doing construction and repair work. His pet peeve is answering questionnaires. Travel- ing is his special interest. Mr. Terrill has taught school for four years, of which two years have been spent in Hudson. He has taught all subjects from Kindergarden through eighth grade, Social Science, and United States History. His favorite subject science, in the eighth grade. Mr. Terrill is the advisor of the School Newspaper. He also is the school Librarian. Mr. Terrill attended Adrian College, University of Michigan, and the University of Wisconsin, receiving a Masters Degree in education. Mr. Terrill chose this vocation because high school people are interesting to him.

Hudson High is very fortunate in having three swell physical education teachers. They are: Mr. Schils, Mrs. Goodrich, and Mr. Finn. Also included in this group is Mr. Duncan, a teacher in the Junior High Department. Mr. Schils has been in the teaching vocation for three years, this being his first year at Hudson High. Mr. Schils teaches three subjects; Social Science, Biology, and Drivers Training. He received a B.S. Degree from Northern Michigan College of Edu- cation. Mr. Schils chose this field as a vocation because he likes athletics and work- ing with young people. After school hours his recreation is completely taken up with coaching. He has an interesting hobby of taking movies. A favorite interest of his is sports of all kinds. He is married and has a seven month old son, Mrs. Goodrich is experiencing her first year of teaching. She teaches girls physical education in Senior High, Junior High, and grade school. She attended Adrian College. She chose this vocation because she liked school, and wanted to help others enjoy it. Her recreation after school hours is taken up mostly by caring lor her two sons, Tom and Ric. In the summer she enjoys swimming, and playing golf and tennis. Her hobby is all sports. Her pet peeve is people who can t follow instructions. Her special interest is her family. Mr. Finn, who has been in the teaching vocation for five years, has taught in Hudson for three years. Mr. Finn teaches three subjects which include: General Math, Business Training, and Physical Education. The subject he likes to teach best is Algebra. He attended college at Michigan State and has a B.S. and M.A. Degree. He chose teach- ing vocation because he wanted to coach. Mr. Duncan, who has taught for 21 years, is teaching his first year in Hudson. He attended college at Adrian and the University of Michigan, and has a B.A. Degree and a M.A. Degree. Mr. Duncan teaches Social Studies in Junior High. His best liked subject in teaching is History. He chose the teaching vocation because he likes to be in athletics and wanted to be a coach. After school hours he spends his time watching television, reading, and farming. His pet peeve is eager beavers. Athletics is a special interest of his. During the summer months, he spends his time working in shops, or farming, or working with play-ground activities. 10

Mrs. Kopp has been teaching Art for three years. This is her first year at Hudson. She received her B. S. Degree from Michigan State Normal, and says she didn t choose her vocation, it chose her. After school hours she enjoys entertaining, housekeeping and playing with Teddy. Her hobbies are weaving, enameling and home decorating. Her pet peeve is seeing people eat without first offering food around the table. Mrs. Kopp’s special interests are Mr. Kopp and son Teddy. Mr. Kopp has been teaching for seven years all of which have been spent in Hudson. He earned his B. S. Degree from Michigan State Normal College and teaches Book- keeping, Shorthand and Typing. He has no favorite subject, but likes them all. He chose teaching because he likes working with young people. His recreation is golf and he likes woodworking and making furniture. He has no pet peeve or special interests except maybe Mrs. Kopp and son Teddy.
