Mrs. Peavy came to Hudson in 1954, teaching reading and science in Junior High for several years. In High School, she taught English, Civics, history, and sponsored Student Councilfor I5 years. As an inspiration to her students, Mrs. Peavy helped to guide several seniors to career-making decisions in her Civics classes. She is highly respected, not only by her students, but also by everyone who has worked with her. Mrs. Peavy has become a lasting part of Hudson and in her words, Hudson School has been apart of my life and I,ve always felt that each child was, in a way, mine. It makes me feel good to drive down the highway and wave at all ages and know I taught themf' Thank you Mrs. Peavy We,ll miss you. ofkllz Bay 4? QTL Wzghf '25 'Fw Test j orneis . Lisa Richardson was the 1980-81 Southwest Regional Chairman and State Yac chair- man, She attended work sessions and spoke at various clubs. She will be hosting the last conference at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dallas. YAC is a youth advisory council designed to bridge the gap between the student body and the food service. Learning about good nutrition, planning menus, decorating the cafeteria and attending conferences are just a few of the many activities Yac's are involved in. This year Hudson Yacls have been busier than ever. With a campus wide mem- bership of 110, the Yac's have completed many projects. They host a school wide Christmas party each year, decorate the cafeteria at holi- days, help with the steak and baked potato Christmas dinner, and add ideas to the lunch menus. This year held special excitement for the Yac's as they hosted the 1980 Southwest Regional Conference. The conference was held at Sky Ranch in Van, Texas. Over 200 Yac's and sponsors attended repre- senting all six states in the Southwest Region. Yac's were involved in planning sessions and meetings. Everyone is looking forward to a great year with the Yac's.
