All their hard work paid off as they sang 3 selections , . at UIL contests and brought home a Ill rating. fm Not only did the choir learn to harmonize, they also learned to be salesmen. Several of the staff members attended summer workshop at Sam Houston State University. Many of the members were awarded first, second and third place honors. By entering UIL contest the staff was awarded lst place in headline writing, lst and 3rd in news, lst and 4th in feature, and lst and 4th in editorials. Spanish Club The Spanish Club has had a very busy A' activities. They also sponsored a mail truck 5 5- year. A Halloween Dance began the club's wash, a do-nut sale, and a Valentine flower sale. Members who were top ten in the club attended the Pan American Student Forum Convention in San Antonio. Michael Jua- rez was elected president of the PASF.
