XED DD So many students were interes ed in being a member of ie mixed chorus that it was necessary to hold two separate practices AHC divide the forty-nine members. This plan nas proved successful and 9HHbl9Q more people to participate in the organization. The mixed chorus made many public appearences, spring concert, sub-state contest, school programs, and the graduation ceremonies. The StUQ6HtS co-operated in these practices so they would be able to sing in a mass group. They have progressed lar under the supervision of Miss Messing and her student teachers. Some of the songs mastered by the group are, Ulf My Song Had Wings,H HThe Lord Bless You and Keep You,N Nheautiful 5avior,U HPastoral,N WLet all the World in Every Corner Sing,U Wwillie Take Your Drum,N and W5Kiing Song.N The mixed chorus has been organized for several years, but a new group was organized last year. The club is affiliated with the Y.M.C.A.. The purpose of this club is: To create, maintain, and SXCSDQ throughout the school and community, high standaros of Christian character. The slogan is: Pure thoughts, pure words, pure actions. One of their activities was an induction service for new members held at Hartman Reserve. The officers are: President, Jean Christensen, Vice Pres., Betha Wyatt, Secretary, Frances Kristenseng Treasurer, Helen Andersen, Chaplain, Margaret Mary Garner, Recorder, Willadean Rasmussen, Asst. Recorder, Gertrude Schiefelbeing Sponsor, Miss Van Skike. The purpose of the Girl's Club is: To provide opportunity for experience in carrying responsibility, to develop personality, leadership, self-reliance, and social poise. To promote interest in the community. To take an active part, as a club, in worthwhile community activities. The officers are: President, Bettie Gibson, Vice Pres., Evelyn Miller, Secretary, Lavonne Brunsg Treasurer, Verla Gutknechtg Advisor, Miss Gustafson.
