THIRD ROW: Beulah Hughes, Gene Gutxnecht, Harold Jensen, Donald Lafrenz, Lloyd Loonan, Leonard Kokesh, Agnes Svenuson. ABSENT: John Bixhv. Gail Bonneson, Kenneth Evans. two, year some work Miss With the addition of several new members, the Junior class roll now totals twenty- and are known in the high school as a cb-operative class. At the beginning of the two members of the class participated in a 'battle of Sexes' and came through with fine points on every question. The Junior class has always been interested in social times, as well as industrious in their studies. They have enjoyed parties ana picnics throughout the year with Gustafson, the class sponsor, as chaperon, and each time they have had enjoyable evenings. The Juniors were also represented on the Purple Pirate staff. In the high school basketball tournament, the Junior boys came out with flying colors by taking first place. There are four boys on the regular basketball squad, and have Shown fine athletic ability in baseball as well. In April, the Junior's began work on the annual Junior-Senior Banquet, which was held May 20 at Black's Tearoom. The banquet, a great success, was planned around the grand theme 'The Gay Nineties.' I, Mary Jean Bickett, am only too glad to will my sickness susceptibility to Evelyn Miller. My excess fat is willed tc Betty Sergeant to use as she sees fit. I, Bob Bordner, do hereby donate my knowledge of the Waterloo East Side students to Ralph Wrage. I know Bub Loonan and Kennie Rausch will be only too glad to have my Model A tires and any further useful accessories. I, Edward Brandhorst will to Tom Kerr, my excellent study habits. I, Lavonne Bruns, accomodating Mr. Evans, Bequeath to him a road map with the route to Pella, Iowa marked distinctly. He seems to be interested in that fair town. To Harlan Buss I give my million dollar vocabulary. I, Harry Lafrenz am making a sacrifice. To Mr. Crawford I give my forth coming bald head. To Hazel Schiefelbein I will my ability to get with the teachers. along I, Hope Magee, will to Irvin and Mark my seat in front of Mr. Crawford. You boys can fight it out. I will my shy and quiet manner to Alene Degener. My red hair and all that goes with it, I will to Wayne Stark. I, Roland Miller, bequeath to Laverne Abben my many women troubles. To Bub Loonan I will my pitching arm to be used in next season's games. To Alvin Pedersen I will my exclusive right to a certain V.M.C.. I, Virginia Pearson, bequeath to Helen Andorf my great muscle. I will my clarinet to a musically inclined boy, Dale Plummer, to his brother Alfred, I will my soprano voice. I, Joyce Moon, bequeath to Agnes Whannel my many glamour girl aspects. To Helen Davis I will my ability to make fast acquaintances. I, James Kerr, bequeath to Willadean Rasmussen my red hair and freckles. I'm only too willing to give my blush to Irvin Jensen. I, Gertrude Christensen, at this time bequeath to Bub Loonan my dark complexion and dark hair. I, Gleneva Multhauf, will to Hazel Schiefelbein my many boy troubles. To Agnes Cavanaugh and Gertrude S. I will my crazy ideas. I, Andrew Sergeant, will to Norman Sorensen, my pitching ability. I, Marion Shaw, will to Kenney Evans, my Romeo features. To Mr. Crawford, I bequeath my good will. I, Evelyn Wyatt, bequeath to Margaret Mary Garner my carefree attitude. To Beth Andersen I will my manish build. Q I, Jean Christensen, this spring day, will to Robert Taylor, my cheer- leading art in hopes he will be more active than of late. To Beulah Hughes I give full possession of my never ending supply of freckles. I, Marcella Franck am willing to give to Wayne Stark my glasses, since he thinks he needs them so bad. To Agnes Cavanaugh, I will my curly hair. I, Galen Furneaux, bequeath to the Freshie girls my Arkansas drawl, that folks still think I have. I, Betty Gibson, bequeath to Willadean Rasmussen the full right to Kennie Bausch during school hours and to anyone interested, my middle name is available just for the asking. I, Leonard Gibson, will to Beverly Wyatt, my miniature size and little feet. To Kennie Bausch, I will my neice. My cheerfulness goes to Lawrence Nolan. I, Dale Glasener, bequeath to Irvin Jensen, my tall and lanky build to be used by him as he sees fit. I, Bette Gutknecht, bequeath my dancing ability to Margaret Brandhorst and Robert Taylor. I, Verla Gutknecht, will to Frances Kristensen, my gym suit for her further use in P.T. classes. I, Mabel Hogshead, bequeath to Joy Lester my popular nose, my bashfulness to Bub Wyatt. To Agnes Whannel, I will my ability to gain excess weight. I, Grant Hook, will to John Wrage my little black book. Allan Franck is first in line for my palmolive complexion. Mae Jean Hollis is willed my penmanship ability. To Mark Taylor, I will my strictly business correspondence. I, Emmett Chapin, bequeath to Bob Ingamells, my persuasive allure with the fairer sex.

With the addition of several new members and one year of experience in high . school, the sophomores were off to a flying start. To start the school year they participated in the UBattle of the Sexesn with Harlan Buss and Mae Jean Hollis as class representatives. The members of the class have been very active in extra-curricular activities, including athletics, music, and the high school annual staff, all which helps in the co-operation of our high school. Several of the members of the class have taken part in the one-act plays presented this year. In these plays they have shown some promising dramatic ability to be used in the next two years. The class is also represented in the different clubs by having several boys and girls taking position of an officer. The sophomores have enjoyed several social gatherings together with their class sponsor, Kiss Van Skike. At one party, the girls honored the boys with a supper. They have also contributed to other social high school functions.
