i 4 . CLASS lfIlSTO '77 , X ,S Twelve years ago, in September, l929, a class of 37 students started out together in the first grade to begin their twelve years of school life. During the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth grade, several plays were given to the mothers, including an original play written by members of the class. The fifth grade was separated, with half in Miss Tyson's room and the other half in Miss Anderson's room. Several grade operettas were given, and the greater part of the boys and girls took part in WHiawathaN, WThe Fisherman's Balladn, and WThe Wishing Leafn when they were presented. In the sixth grade the girls prepared and served a lunchion for all the teachers and the rest of the class. A Junior Girls' Club was organized in the eighth grade, sponsored by the Senior Girls' Club. betty Gibson was the first president. The same year the girls were asked to serve at the first May Morning Breakfast for the Senior Girls' Club. Having finished eight of the twelve years, seven of the original group remained together: Leonard Gibson, Mabel Hogshead, Grant Hook, Robert Bordner, Gleneva Multhauf, Andrew Sergeant, and Roland Miller. We found ourselves as WGreen Freshiesn with Miss L'Amoreaux as our sponsor. Our freshman year was not very eventful. Outside of school parties, work in school music organizations, music contests and festivals, we carried on few activities. Our class officers were: President, Harry Lafrenzg Vice President, Grant Hook, Secretary, Mabel Hogshead, Treasurer, Betty Gibson, Student Council Member, Robert Bordner. During the Sophomore year there were slight changes made. Our sponsor was Mr. Wagner. Our class decorated for commence- ment, and gave a pep assembly for home- coming. Our class officers were: PFGSiG6Ht, Grant Hook, Vice President, Robert bordnerg Secretary and Treasurer, Gleneva Multhaufg Student Council Member, betty Gibson. Our Junior year might be called our busiest year. We won't forget our Junior Class Play, HLook Who's Heren. We put the proceeds from our play with the receipts from selling candy at basketball games to give the seniors last year an enjoyable banquet, carried out along the Indian theme. Marcella Franck and Hope Magee were cheerleaders last year. Mabel Hogshead represented our class and school last year in the music department by going to the state contest with her flute solo. Our class officers were: President, Grant Hook, Vice President, Virginia Pearson, Secretary, Leonard Gibson, Treasurer, Marion Shaw, Student Council members, Betty Gibson, Secretary, and Robert Bordner, President. Now we have come to the senior year, our last year in Hudson High School. Again we have a class play, WDeal 'Em Overn. A great many boys and girls were in the all high school operetta, HAn Old Kentucky Gardenu. Others were in some of the 4- schoolplays. We have two seniors again, this time a boy and a girl, for cheerleaders Jean Christensen and Leonard Gibson. Roland Miller represents our class and school in the music department oy going to the state contest with his bass solo. N690 we mention the fun and hilarity that all the seniors enjoyed on their skip day. Also the nice banquet the Juniors gave for us. We might also mention we gave a picnic for the Juniors in return for the banquet. Our class officers are: President, Gertrude Christensen, Vice President, Marion Shaw, Secretary, Mabel Hogshead, Treasurer, Dale Glasenerg Student Council members: Leonard Gibson, President, Robert Boruner and Marcella Franck.
