“
With your sense of humor and cheerful man- ner you could make an uninteresting subject exciting. History was no longer dull when you were our teacher. As our Junior class advisor, you cared what we, as a whole, wanted and tried to satisfy us all. Because of that, our prom was fun for everyone. As our Senior class advisor, you helped guide us with your fairness and good judgement. This made our Senior year one of the best of our lives. Therefore, we, the class of 1983, dedi- cate our yearbook to you ... MR. ROBERT DINGMAN 2 3 6 Time may come between us, but it doesn’t mean a thing We know we’ll be together in our dreams And so today, my friends, hold tight And keep memories of good times inside your hearts ’Cause though the time has come for us to part We’ll still be together in our minds ’Cause we never really say goodbye We never really say goodbye 7 Our hopes and dreams were finally fulfilled on the brisk evening of May 21st. We imag- ined a dining room in the Georgian motel to be a fantasy ballroom as numerous couples, dressed in tuxes and long, flowing gowns, completed the mirage. We danced to the breathtaking tunes of the Revelation amid the surroundings of picturesque Lake George. As we watched the crowning of Queen Sheila VanDeusan and King David Layden we realized these really are “The Best of Times . 10 THE BEST OF TIMES 1982 Queen Amy Collins 1983 Queen Sheila VanDeusan Royal Kristine Ecker Karen McKinney Ann Nelson Kim Liporace Colleen Copeland Patti Casey Melonie Zeno Beth Churchill 1982 King Jon Newell 1983 King David Layden Court Charles Kirk Edward Leonard Brian Murray Richard Kidwell Jon Pellino Dennis Casey Alec Underwood David lusi Crown Bears Kelly Ecker, Mitchell Webster, Elizabeth Fowler 12 KAREN MARIE ALLEN Ambition: To take one day at a time. We Sue C. and Karen M., Will our AWESOME ability to carry out a double-date beginning at the Dew Drop, ending with a McDonalds Breakfast, and wish- ing we could re-live the cozy hours in between. I, Melzer, will to Janie, a huge “THANKS” for teach- ing me her great sense of “culture!” and also trying to teach me her super way of dealing with things! I, Janet LaFountain, will to Andrea Hyatt, my big mouth and pom poms in hopes that someday she will be a cheerleader. I, Karen McKinney, will to Kim Murray, another trip to the library complete with some “funny stuff”, an- other tour of G.F., another game of quarters (if she can handle it), another all-nighter with a red-head, and most of all, all the happiness in the world. I, M-Dog, will a “special thanks” to A-Dog, for being a super best friend by always listening to me, giving me her great advice, and most of all doing the most spectacular “Mick” and “Archie” that I have ever seen! I, Haroldina, will to all Harold’s and Haroldina’s espe- cially H.B., the power to see the white and to appre- ciate their destiny. We, Angela Murray and Janet LaFaountain, will to anyone the ability to: not get lost when we are out in F.E. looking for certain guys houses, with the driver 65 without a license, hide from the troopers, and share a bottle of Reunite and not get caught, also anyone who can top our parties. We, Nancy H. and Barb M., will to “Blackie”, “Gag- ger , “Giraffe Legs , Weasel’’, and “The Queen” the ability to find out who we are referring to. Good Luck. I, J.M. Kateri M., will to any underclassman crazy enough to join swim team, the ability to remain mar- ried throughout the season to Lou Foro, to argue with him every single day and, most of the time, manage to come out on top, to read the N.Y. Times to him on the way to away meets, to argue politics with him, and, most of all, manage to keep his buns warm when he stalls in the locker room. We, A.M.M. and S.E.P. will to Sandy M., some of our height, in hopes that some day she will grow up and be as tall as us'. I, Janet LaFountain, will to any underclass girl, the luck of having a best friend like Cindy Webb, who will take you to Lake George to chase Pepsi trucks, think about Wintergreen Lake, go to Hearthstone with 9 gorgeous guys, play buzz in my room with no corn syrup, have crying and laughing sessions, and al- ways there when I need to talk about the “Three dogs.” Thanks Cind. I, Angela Murray, will to Karolyn Nacy, and Todd Kilmer, the ability to keep the “elite” group together, and finally talk about something that isn’t perverted, or Yuck Yuckl! I, Kim, will to Janet and Pat one party all to them- selves, with all the LaBatts they want, without having to share it with Gerry. I, Janet LaFountain, will to Stephanie Allen, all the good times in cheering, plus a box of Kleenexes in case the team next year is as good as last years. I, Kerri, will to Joan Folk, another great jam session, in hopes that in her senior year, someone gets the name Donna Folk straight. We, Nora and Kim, will to Lisa Rabine, alias Temple- ton, one pair of sweats that won’t ride up to her ears and down to her toes-with a little help from her friends, and one boyfriend who says he LIKES her - not HATES her! Hey Wilt! It’s like we like will to you ya know say a rack of maybe Grand Union Special so ya won’t like mooch off say us!!! I, Rae DiResta, will to Tom Erdman a scratchy voiced “Hi.” I, Lisa Merlow, will to my brother Craig and sister Tonya, all the good times I had in high school. I, Colleen, will to Lisa, Chris, and Rachel, all the good times we’ve shared. This includes our night out on the town. Remember Carmens and Sambos! Who can forget? We, K.M., K.C., S.C., K.D., C.C., L.N., M.C., J.H., etc ... will to any underclassman girl the ability to carry out Kim and Nora’s Double “R” protection plan. I, Marianne McCarthy, will to Sarah H. a great senior year and a more suitable nickname than Benny Hill. We N. Rozell, K. Liporace, and E. Tarantino, will to Sefior Borys 3 girls whom he can pick apart, butt into their business, spy on them and discuss their action in front of the majority of his classes and a set of binoculars to spy on us from his house so he won’t strain his eyes looking in on our so-called “wild par- ties.” I K.A.D., will to Rick Bartlett, one tank of gas in hopes that he will be able to drive next year when he takes a girl out on a date. 66 JUNIORS Robyn Cronin-President Laurie Palmer-V.P. Still work and hope for victory. To have no secret place wherein I stoop unseen to shame or sin; To be the same when I'm alone As when my every deed is known; To live undaunted, unafraid Of any step that 1 have made; To be without pretense or sham Exactly what men think I am. To leave some simple mark behind To keep my having lived in mind; If enmity to aught I show. To be an honest, generous foe, To play my little part, nor whine That greater honors are not mine. This, I believe, is all 1 need For my philosophy and creed. Edgar A. Guest SandyHill Sandy Hill Corporation Hudson Falls. New York 12839 Continued Success to the Class of 1983 J. E.
