DEDICATION When we first entered your class, we ex- pected to find nothing more than another unin- spired teacher. We had heard that you were a good” teacher, but we were totally unpre- pared for your teaching style. There was an air of excitement as you explained the mysteries of science to us, a feeling of revelation as you unveiled the secrets of the atom. We realized that, in order for you to teach this way, you must think of teaching science as much more than just a living. This intense interest in what you teach will always inspire us. Even we, as students who did not have the privilege of learning from you in class, were not left un- touched by your work, the results of which often affected an entire wing of the school. It is for all this and for your constant striving to improve our learning experiences in Hudson Falls that we dedicate this 1969 HERMES to you, Mr. Robert Chatel 2
