We ffrflfzvr Throughout our high school years we have encountered many personalities who have helped mold our lives and whom we will never forget. Foremost in many of our memories, however, will be one who has guided and advised us through- out our last year at H.F.HIS. He has instilled in us all a sense of responsibility, integrity, and given us a desire to take an intelligent part in world affairs. In addition he has spent many hours as our class advisor helping us reach the many decisions We have been faced with before entering the world as adults. For all this, Mr. Kelly, we dedicate the 1960 HERMES to you as a small tribute of our appreciation.

5 1 -silall i ll l -WMM? One of the things most familiar to all of us at l'l.F.l-l.S. is the Hudson River along whose banks our town was established. Because it is so familiar to us, we have chosen it as the theme of our 1960 HERMES and charac- terized it as the Stream of Knowledge. Lake Tear of the Clouds, the beginning of the river, high in the Adiron- dacks symbolizes our class at the start of our freshman year four years ago. During these four years, we- moved down the river guided by the willing faculty. As the river widens so does our knowledge until at last we reach the mouth of the river and the end of our high school education. Now, as we leave the mouth of the river and enter the ocean of adult life, we look back on our trip as the most worthwhile venture of our lives.
