OCTOBER 29, 1949—After a belated start, our Green Wave finally inaugurated its 1949 football season. The day was not a happy one for Hudson Falls rooters, however; for Granville trounced us, 27-7. Palmer scored our one touchdown on a 95 yard runback of an intercepted pass. NOVEMBER 5, 1949—Snow came today, but it was not joyfully accepted by the Greenies. Fort Edward topped us, 20-0. Once again, our indom- itable spirit was our best asset. NOVEMBER 12, 1949 — Our Heidorf-Luciano coached grid machine wound up the shortest foot- ball season in Hudson Falls history this afternoon. St. Mary’s won, but not until Palmer and Rock each scored a touchdown. The final score was was 20-13. P. S. Joe Sipowicz, rugged guard, was named honorable mention” on the mythical All- Conference team.
