•JhasridL -rocur s xJLerv The seniors to graduate in this year’s class have more to remember about their senior year than probably any other seniors in the United States. We had the unique experience of dividing our big class into two groups, of being transported to classes all over town for the first semester, of moving into our new quarters even though they were not ready, of sitting in classrooms that were so arranged that we could learn much more than just what our teachers were telling us because we could also hear the teachers on each side of us, of having lockers that were nice but open to the public, of having a campus without grass, planning our own sidewalks, of having a building that will be the envy of many school districts, and of still being able to get our lessons, our credits, and graduating in a normal way. I wish to congratulate you for taking all these problems in stride, for developing a school spirit for the basketball season that was second to none in the league, and for organizing your student government to fit the needs of this school without copying others. I want to remind you that although we have had some problems, this year also has given you special opportunities. You will always be able to come back to Hudson’s Bay Homecoming as the “Number One graduating class. You will have the opportunity in future years of boasting that you were an EAGLE, because this is going to be a great high school. You will have an opportunity of looking at a school twenty years from now that was so designed that it will be as modern then as it was the day you moved in. Good luck, EAGLES. Spread your wings. See the world. There is no height to which you can’t fly if you try. ELDON BOYD Principal
