X .aim mfom By Thirley Mae Greenlee I was born September 6, l9L7. On first entering this vast world I was afraid because I had so much to go through in order te cover the years ahead of me. Realizing the need for organization I elect- ed Alice Fields president. All of my girls were members of the New Homemakers Club and the Science Researchers. Quite a few of my boys and girls joined the Athletic and Glee Clubs. Alice Fields won the Mathematic prize, bringing my first year to a successful end. l9L8-l9A9. Well this year I lost several pounds, but to no dis advantageg for it proves the statement nOnly the fittest can sur- vive'. During this year I took active part in all extra-curricula activitiesg Tillie Miller, Alice Fields and Althea Carson starred in the one-act melodrama HDesperate Desmonds Dastardlv Deedn, pre- sented bv the Dramatic Club. Howard Caldwell was awarded the Ci- tizenship award given by the P. T. A. The Algebra prize was wen by Alice Fields and the Historv prize by Tillie Miller. lRL9-l95O. With Howard Caldwell I was able to pull through with flying colors, which can be attributed to his efficiency as presi- dent. I gave one of the greatest Junior-Senior proms ever given in the school. Robert Logan played one of the main character roles in the Dramatic production HEyes of Loven. Barbara Faucette won the Oratorical contest, with Althea winning second place. Evelyn Logan won the Sportsmanship Medal in basketball. After three vears of hard study and a great determination, I am ending my high school career. This year I planned as a symbolic year exhibiting in all manner, Senior dignity. Robert Logan was my president and also Editor-in-Chief of the nPathfindern. I boast as having been the first class of Hudgins School to publish a year book, Barbara Faucette was elected by the Dramatic club to attend the State Dramatic Clinic in Charlotte, N. C.
