“Way back In the y««r 1951» we arrived on the threshold of Dear Old Hoyt High. We started the je» with seven members. We chose our officers to be, Shirley Rake president, Donnie Rlckel vice-president, Virginia Me Grew secretary , Carolyn Rlckel treasurer, Gary Bausch reporter. Our sponsor was Kiss Walker. Shortly after school started we lost Shirley Rake to Sliver Late but later In the year we gained Henry Dlllner from Meriden and Gene Everhart from Alma. The fall of 1951 gained us a little higher position as Sophomores. We lost Virginia Me Grew to Topeka High but we also gained two new, members, Pat Myrlck from Boswell Junior High School and Mildred 6tolle from Silver Lake. To guide us through this year Gary Baus- ch was chosen president. Gene Everhart vice-president, Pat Myrlck secretary-trea- surer, Martha French delegate and reporter. Mr. Longberg was our sponsor. The new school year of 1952 gained us a still higher position. We lost Patty Myrlck to Highland Park and the last semester we rained Phyllis Allen frem Carbondale. The class officers which helped us steer through the year were Gene Everhart president, Martha French Vice-president, Gary Bausch secretary-treasurer, and Mildred Stolle delegate. This year was full of many great events, among the more outstanding was our Junior-Senior banquet which we presented to the Seniors, the theme of M which was, Ship of Memories, ar.tjl also the Junior Play 'rs. Erd.man was our sponsox-. At long last ten of us; five of who are our origin- al freshman, are on our Y lit i9l home stretch. We startd dT this year with two new JQ 1 y. I members to bolster our ra- nds. They ar® Marilee rcJK—JsM L Hrenchlr from Corning Kan- sas, and Hugh Fish from Danville Arkansas . Our officers for this year are, Mildred Stolle president, Marilee Hrenchlr vice- president, Martha French secretary, Phyllis Allen treasurer, Carolyn Rlckel delegate-reporter, Mr. Thoman Is our sponsor. And now as our annual goes to press we are looking forward to out Junior-Senior Banquet, senior trip, senior play and graduation. It has been a very happy four years, and some of the parties, carnivals, weiner roasts, hayrack rides, and banquet will live in our hearts and memories , for years to come. So It is with deep regrets and possibly heavy hearts that we say good-bye and the best of luck to next year. the seniors of
