 Mildred Stolle PRESIDENT SIDENT ft Mt . TV» oman SPONSOR J u zy The members of the senior class left in the early iftemoon of May 6 on their way to Rockaway Beac - Missouri, for a week-end trip. W.F. Thoman, their sponsor, and Mrs. Roscoe Rickel, and Harold Rickel accompanied them on the trip. Upon arriving in Rockaway Beach late in the eve- ning, after the long trip, they were assigned to cot- tages in the Green Mountain Lodge. They were up early in the morning to begin the various activities of the day, which included Speed- boat trips up and down Lake Tanecoma, fishing, sight seeing, etc. The Show-boat crip up the river to Bransen, Missouri, was a new and interesting experien- ce for all of us. The captain of the boat has been operating the boat for the past twenty five years. A tour was taken through the Shepard of the Hills country. We saw many of the scenes described in the book by that name, written by Harold Bell Wright. We also explored several of the large caves located along this route. After two days filled with activity from early morning until late in the evening, we began our re- turn trip. We arrived in Hoyt late Sunday evening tired but feeling that we had a pleasant and educat- ional trip.
