Music The band, which was under the direction of Mr. Brink, was organized on September 2. The regular band had a membership of 23, the beginners had 13 members. K e n neth Eickrneyer This year's band made its first public appearance at the annual Open House observance of American Education Week. On this occasion two selections were also given by the octet, which consisted of the following eight students: Ruth Koelling, Peggy Heilig, Jeanette Reinkensmeyer, Arthur Lamczyk, Wm. Westerfeld, Roger Hake, Kenneth Eickmeyer, Maurice Garnholz. A fifteen minute musical program was given at the Washington County Teachers' Meeting. This consisted of individual solos and several numbers by the octet. Other school activities for which the band played were the Christmas Program, between acts of the Freshman-Sophomore Play, and Graduation Exercises. On May 15, a band concert was given in which both members of the regular band and beginners band participated. Special numbers were also by individual groups of the band. The chorus was organized and directed by Mr. Brink. The chorus has sung for several occasions this year including several selections at the annual Christmas Program and Graduation Exercises.
