Y -V Class Prophecy By Roger Hake I was making a world tour to gather information for my newscast over CBS, for I am now a news commentator. As I settled back in my luxurious seat aboard a modern jet air liner, I glanced across the aisle and saw my old classmate of 1950, Billy Westerfeld. I immediately bom- barded him with questions about himself. He was going to South America to work as a foreman for Maurice Garnholz, another former classmate, now an engineer, who was build- ing a large dam across the Orinoco River in Venezuela. Also in Venezuela is Norman Kahre, who is a rich oil tycoon and owns a large rubber plantation. Just then we noticed who the stewardess was. It was a former classmate, Ruth Koelling. By chattering with her we found out that Arthur Lamczyk was piloting the plane. Letting Billy off at Venezuela we proceeded to Rome. Making a tour of the city, whom should I run into but Frances Selle, another clasmate, who was taking singing lessons from the great musician, Joaquino Garcoa. She is studying to become an opera singer. Having completed most of my trip around the world we landed in Los Angeles. As I went into a very large department store I noticed the name over the entrance, Miss Jeanette Reinkensmeyer's Department Store. I wanted to see Jeanette but she was out-on business. As I continued across the United States, the plane had to make a forced landing in a large field. Was I surprised to see Kenneth Eichmeyer who ran a cattle ranch consis- ting of four thousand cattle. Fixing the trouble, Arthur soon had the plane in flight. Reclining back in my seat, I was happy to think that of the Hoyleton Class of 1950, all seemed to be doing very well.
