G. A. A. N P. E. In September of this year the Girl's Athletic Association was organized with sixteen members. The following officers were elected: President, Minette Cohlmever: Vice President, .lean Niermanng Secretary, Donna .lean Keyes: Secretary pro tem.. Marie Unverfehrtg Treasurer, Eunice Schierbecker: Reporter, Marie Unverfehrt: Program Chairman, Doris Ruth Christian: Social Lhairman, Helen Hines, Sponsor. Miss Betty Coe. The G. A. A. took second place in the State Archery Contest. Marie Unverfehrt was the highest scorer in the state. XVe held our first party of the year on October 26 in the form of a Halloween party. Each girl brought a friend with her. Officers elected the second semester were: President, Minette Cohlmeyerg Vice-President, Marilyn Schuette: Secretary, Eunice Rommelmang Treasurer, Eunice Schiibeckerg Reporter, Dorothy Hongsermeier. The remaining otiicers ate the same as they were the first semester. The spring party was held April 12th. The G.A.A. invited the P. E. Class. Each girl brought a guest. The evening was spent in going on a scavenger hunt. The G.A.A. play day was held at our school May 11th. We invited eight schools in our district as our guests. For our class work we have practiced for the archery contest. We learned to build human pyramids and we learned to tumble. We played basketball and practiced for the shooting contest. Also we have played volley ball, soccer, badminton, soft ball. and run relays. BAND At the beginning of the school year '45-'46 there were 26 members enrolled in the band. During the year several new members were added. The band played for several programs, plays, the operetta, an American Legion program. and basketball games. Officers for the year were as follows: President, Everett Wehkingg Vice- President, Minette Cohlmeyerg Secretaryg Eunice Rommelmang Librarian, Marilyn Brauer. On April 6th the band will enter the district band contest at Highland. Our band is classed as a Class D band. The enrollment in the school determines the class into which we are placed. On April 12th we will go to Ashley for the County Music Festival.

Secretary-Treasurer: and Sponsor, Mr. Beck. They gave two one-act plays-one at the Open House Program and one at the Christmas program. The one at the Open House Program was Orchids For Marie and the one given at the Christmas Program was T he Tree.
