Hthletics IZASKETBALL This y'ea1 s team was the best which our high school has ever produced. lt tinished its season with a record of 17 games won and 17 games lost. Stanley Horst was its leading scorer with a record total of 614 points. The team outscored its opponents, 1468 to 1399 throughout the season and averaged -L? points per game to our opponents 41. VVe placed third in this year's Kaskaskia Conference Tournament which was held here. In our first game of the District Tournament, we defeated Breese by a 38-31 score in an overtime. VVe were eliminated in our next game by St. Mary's of Carlyle. Then we climaxed our season bv winning the championship of the Class B division of the Sparta ,Iunior Tournament.
