The members of the class of 1986 are having a little get-together for their 25th class reunion. One of the members wanders over to the antique Pioneer stereo. He turns it on. The DJ says, “Hey all you young” kids out there, do you remember that one? It was an oldie but goodie from 1986 by Tina Turner, who just turned 72 today. It’s time to travel back to the year 1986 once again. Here's a bit of trivia for all of you. The Hoxie High School graduating class of 1986 listed these as the favorite music of their time ... FAVORITE SONGS; Sleeping Bag, Say You Say Me, We Built This City, and Tough All Over. FAVORITE MALE SINGERS; Bryan Adams, Bruce The BOSS” Springsteen, Corey Hart, and Lionel Richie. FAVORITE FEMALE SINGERS; Tina Turner, MaDonna, Pat Benatar, Amy Grant, and Whitney Houston. FAVORITE GROUP; Loverboy, Heart, Sur- vivor, Night Ranger, Huey Lewis and the News, John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band, and .38 Special The Hooters. FAVORITE ALBUM; Lovin’ Every Minute of It by Loverboy, Like a Virgin by MaDonna, Miami Vice Soundtrack, and Brother in Arms by Dire Straits.” When you hear these songs, do you think of your first day in high school, your first date, the Jr.-Sr. Prom, or graduation? Don’t be afraid to shed a tear. These were the best days of your life.
