Journalism 55 Video Communications Members of the Video Communications class are Jeff Bull, Doug Emerick, Brice Feldt and Mike Bull. Wi Doug prepares the camera to film. Mr. Ted Barnes, in- structor, helps the boys set up the equipment. Brice edits the tape for later use. The boys set up for the next highlight show. This year the video communications class has kept very busy. The first task they had to overcome was to learn how to run the equip- ment. This includes cameras, decks and editor. The class this year again did all of the highlight shows. The highlight shows include all the sports. They also work on the leads for the beginning of the shows. The lead is an introduction set to music at the beginning of each show. This process can be very complicated. You first have to index the tape to see where the exciting parts of the film are. The next step is to transfer it to music which is sometimes difficult to get synchronized. The class also did an around town video. The video consisted of a film set to music of the businesses around town. It took the crew approximately a month to complete the video. highughis 56 Video PEPSI — CHOICE OF THE HHS GENERATION GETZ IGA THE SHORT STOP Leroy Reitcheck Jr. Custom Swathing, Large Round Baling, and Square Baling Hoxie, KS 675-3747 BIOZYME ENTERPRISES Roger Schlick DEE’S HAIR BOUTIQUE 1209 Trail Hoxie, KS 675-2309 Farmer’s Lumber Co., Inc.
