Mejico On May 26, 1976, 20 HHS stu- dents and five sponsors were off to Mexico in a bus. On this trip the group experienced a plane ride from Mexico City to Oax- aco. While there they enjoyed the ruins at Monte Alban, the Tule Tree and black pottery. They stayed in the finest hotel in Acapulco, the Acapulco Prin- cess. They saw the cliff divers and swam in the Pacific Ocean. The bus broke down in the little town of Eguall which had no hotels or motels, so they slept in a Dodge Garage. In Mexico City they were not able to see the bull fights but did experience some- thing they never could back home, an earthquake. Other places they visited were Monter- rey, Ciudad Valleys, Taxco, Chilpancingo, and Saltillo. On June 11, they were happy to be back in Hoxie. Looking ai the black pottery made by hand in Oaxaca. Mr. Strecker. Lucy Moellering, Irene Meier. Kriss Babcock, Shelly Trembley, Patty Rar- ick, Janice Richmeier, Dee Ann Hockersmith, Jan Kennedy, Cindy Ochs, Kathy Kranawit- ter, Ladonna Gallagher, Kelly Allen, Chris Meier, Virginia Hartzog, Paula Pratt, Judy Morgan. Larry Fricees, Linda Fricees. Sheri Spresser. NOT PICTURED: Mrs. Strecker. Father Jerry. Dottie Koerprich, and Kelly Wigginton enjoy the Tula Tree in Oaxaca. Many enjoyed the ruins in the Antropolo- gia. The slipper slide was a big splash at the Acapulco Princess. 28

Jeff, pay attention. This is my Spelling book. Oh! It stinks. It can’t be that bad. Danny and Randy always try to look busy. There goes another 10 points. 30
