Football Steps Forward The Indians, led by coach Terry Adams, tied with Oberlin for fifth in the NWKL with a 4-5 record. Offensively in 9 games the Indians were only shut out by state-bound Oakley and averaged 15 points per game with a 236 yard offense. The defense allowed 19 points a game with 247 yards. Lettermen are David Schippers, Tim Moss, Dave Schamberger, Lee Cooper (best offensive back), Mike Shaw, Pat Koster (most inspirational player), Lad Truetken, Clint Follis, Mike Heim, Randy Fat- her, Ken Eland (best defensive man), John Mosier, Mark Bergmeier, Mark Niernberger, Brian Baalman, Keith Kennedy, Gerald Rietcheck, A1 Woodwyk (best lineman), Rick Shipley, Brick Prickett, Chris Bean, and Charlie Schippers. Managers were Jon Karnes, Kelly Vickers, David Harris, Janelle Karnes, and Veva Adams. A1 Woodwyk made all league for place kicking; while Brick Prickett and Mark Niernberger received honorable mention. Randy Farber, 31, plows into an Hill City defensive man. Hoxie’s offense is happy about this touchdown. Charles Ostmeyer 23, Dave Schamberger 64, and Dave Schippers 87, close in on an Atwood player.
