They sing at private social events, assemblies, and graduation. Each spring they enter into competition with similar groups from other Northeastern Ohio schools. Under the direction of Mrs. Polley, they have proven to be a talented group over the years. This year's girls are following in the footsteps of their predecessors. Ninth Grade Cfhrfrus Under the direction ot Mrs. Polley, our ninth grade chorus is more or less a stepping stone to the A'Cappella. Members are selected for their fine voices and their ability to blend well. The group meets regularly and sings for many school programs. Daum, K. Pinkerton, D. Irvin. 6166 67110 This group of singers is organized on a voluntary basis. Any girl in grades nine through twelve is eligible. Regular meetings are held weekly in which the girls learn various types of numbers. This club, along with the rest of the music department, pro- vides excellent music for many school functions such as P.T.A. meetings and assemblies. Glwirdrzirrs The Chordaires, consisting of eight fellows, are cho- sen by Mrs. Polley for their select voices. Their major goal is to receive superior ratings in district and state competition. Following the contests, the boys sing for private engagements and for their own personal enjoyment. The harmony they provide is truly fine music. Choirdaires: Clyde Waddell, Jim Strausbaugh, Leif Person, Paul Waddell, Lee Selby, Ed Jones, Tom Brdek.
