?ar1aal Daaaa Highlights Haliaag Saasaa 6'l1risia4as 9ara4al At the height of the yule season, December 26, the annual Christmas formal took place in the Hanson Gymnasium. The gym was transformed into a magnificent Frosted Fan- tasy with a red and white decor. Bob Alex- ander and his band provided an evening of delightful melody. The superb effect was achieved by juniors who gave up part of their long awaited vacation to plan and execute this highly successful formal. There was time out for refreshments, which were served by the junior class mothers. At l l:3O, the king, Dick Abruzzi, was crowned. Junior attendants were Mike Atkins and Paul Waddell. These boys and their dates made a very impressive court. This dance added much to the gala atmos- phere of the holidays, those who attended will long remember the evening's happy memories. 3 Jim Frazier and Shirley Taylor are about to enter the world of Frosted Fantasy . Student emzfe Student Senate is composed of students who are elect- ed to represent their home-rooms in the governing body of our school. The president was chosen in a new manner this year. A school-wide election was held in which Bill Burick was elected. Pat Ghisea, runner-up in this election, serves as vice-president. Other officers are Sandie Stull, secretary, Paul Waddell, treasurer, and Lee Selby, sergeant-at-arms. Our Student Council has been very active this year. They have planned and executed a number of assemblies in which there has been increased student participation. The Bun- dles for Children clothing drive was sponsored by this group. Other projects that the Student Senate have undertaken this year include installing a tele- phone booth in the lower hall, buying a coffee maker for the home economics department, sponsoring a talent program, and purchasing caps and gowns for the seniors.
