Zzfrrwzfrd Today we follow the precepts and tradi- tions laid down by those who have traveled before us on the sometimes difficult path of learning. We have come to respect the wis- dom and experience of our predecessors, and we have learned to value the written records of the many people who have formed and con- tributed to our American society. Now we ap- proach the time when we ourselves must im- part knowledge to those who follow us, We who are to be tomorrow's leaders must never stop learning, and we must begin to add our own small part to our society. Throughout his- tory it has been so, each succeeding genera- tion contributes its experience to those who follow. Thus does mankind advance itself. The l96O Scroll staff presents this pic- torial review of our last year at Howland. We invite you to join our Scribe who will show you the various segments of our life in the Halls of Howland. Sports, dances, friendships, and the many other aspects of school life all supplement our scholastic achievements to help make us well-rounded individuals. Al- though we believe it impossible to capture the spirit of Howland on paper, if we are able to record some of the events of our senior year within these covers, our pi 'nose will have been fulfilled.
