Operetta ----- Miss Starlight Drew Crane, an orphan raised by his rich and rather snobbish Aunt Rhoda, was presented with the ultimatum that he must either marry the girl of his aunt's choice by the time he is 22 or lose his inheritance from his father's pickle factory. His aunt had picked Carlotta Beard for him, but Carlotta was in love with Franklin Sanderson, manager of the hotel where everyone was visiting, and Drew was in love with the hotel stenographer, Flo Ran- dolph. To complicate matters still further, Franklin's mother had promised him to Sadie Sutton, a village maiden. At this time, Miss Venus, the Goddess of Love and Beauty appears. She is the perfect girl, who knows nothing but the truthg and her candor is sometimes alarming to the mortals. She succeeds in adjusting the many love affairs so that everyone ends up with the right person. Miss Venus, or Miss Starlight , as Drew called her, existed only in his imaginationg for as Miss Starlightl' said: The perfect person exists only through the eyes of true lovef' Mrs. Polley was the director, assisted by Miss Lydia Zahariou. 43 CAST Drew Crane ...........
