Building School Spirit Homecoming week was one ofthe most unique, spirit-filled times at H.H.S. Students and faculty alike displayed their school spirit and creativity as well as boosting the morale of our Varsity football team. To get Homecoming week off the ground, the Student Council organized a variety of themes for each day. Monday: Sock it to the Eagles day. The student body wore a variety of brightly colored socks. Tuesday: Dress like the Eagles day brought out the nerd in everyone. Wednesday: Send the Eagles back in time. On 50's day, everyone dressed in poodle skirts, bobby socks, white T-shirts, and cool sunglasses. Thursday: Black out the Eagles day saw students wearing their school colors with pride. Friday: Beach the Eagles day. Everyone wore their Jams and Hawaiian print shorts. The Friday afternoon pep rally brought the entire schooI's enthusiasm together as we all joined in for the school song and helped the cheerleaders cheer for the football team. The Homecoming Queen, Melanie Power, and her court were presented and crowned. Then the moment everyone was waiting for: The Homecoming Game! The final score HOWE BULLDOGS 16 and the VALLEYVIEW EAGLES O!!! James Utley, Adam Coffey, and Bryan Rogers show their macho image! James Utley's true personality comes out on Nerd Day!
