J. Quinn The 1964 edition of the Howard Payne Lasso is dedicated to Dr. A. J. Quinn, head of the school’s Department of Re- ligious Education. The secret of the dedication was revealed during the Lasso presentation in an all-school assembly. Members of the Lasso staff selected Dr. Quinn for the honor because of his inherent honesty, his individuality and his personal dedication to the college and its students. A former pastor and district missionary, Dr. Quinn has been on the Howard Payne faculty since 1955. He was awarded the doctor of divinity degree in 1945 by Howard Payne, where he also received the bachelor of arts and master of education degrees. He received the master of religious education degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In Memoriam Faculty Changes, Student Honors Build HPC Dr. Guy D. Newman president Dr. C. E.
