Message to the Student Body: We are living in strenuous times. Each individual should do his best. This is no time to fail in any kind of endeavor. There should be persistent striving toward the accomplish- ment of purposes and objectives. No one should be satisfied with accomplishments that fall far short of his maximum. One's performance should approach his capacity. There has been considerable evidence of seriousness of purpose on the part of our stu- dents during the current school year. A feeling of responsibility has been pronounced. Work has been pursued with a consciousness of immediate as well as remote objectives. Among the ideals which I have attempted to present, as well as exemplify before stu- dents for many years, are these: Do right. Do your best. I pass these principles on to you for the day in which we live. Very sincerely, Z. T. Huff
