Eyelash curler for CRIT so her lashes will flutter And LOUISE for her kitchen got one pound of butter BETTY PICKEN a Bacheller button did find And GRETCHEN a watch that will really wmd IOANN got a ha.nky in case she would sneeze An BOB MARTIN an orange from Florida's trees For MAXINE a play house with curtains of lace An LYLAH BELLE paints with a brush in a case For TONY adrum, and a toy stethescope For JIM when he starts out with 1llness to cope A ribbon for MINNIE, to match her blue eyes A key for the heater to keep BILLY warm And a tractor to keep IIM SHUPE home on the farm Some music for MARGIE a white cap for SHIRL For MARILYN PAULEN Bob pins for her curl WILMA found for herself a small looking glass And LAWRENCE an A m his Government class For FREDDIE a part for a Chevrolet truck, And BETTY a clover with four leaves for luck. And for BEATRICE gum, which she so dearly loves While for HARRY, you see, there are fine boxing gloves A mimature show with projector and screen For RUSSEL and FORREST, and a Job for DOREEN And for WAVA a typewrlter with silent keys, And JACK found a handful of l1tt1e red tees Then to top it all off, with a flag nicely furled On the top was a globe for theirs ' IS the world W1th the most sincere wishes that forever they'll be just as happy as they've been these four years GP . Here too, IS M1ss JoAnn Meier prominent secretary to Pres Beeman who is 1n his third term Miss Meler plans to retire It certainly is nxce to be able to freshen up a b1t before dirmer in a good hotel I'm staying at Knox's Bulldog Inn Mr and Mrs Gerald Knox are both formerly of Howard City, Michigan Mrs Knox, known to her old fr1ends as Maxlne Hanson, IS very proud of her five l1ttle Knoxes ', as an old school mate would put it It's rumored that the Knoxes plan to sell out to Mr and Mrs Jack Durrand of Revel Stoke, Canada Mrs Durrand, the former Gretchen Gaffleld, popular vocalist of screen and stage M1ss Lee Day, as she was called in her last career, has lately been too occupled w1th her httle paratroopers to make tzme for her pubhc It IS rumored that the Durrands may buy 1n partnershxp with the prom1nent electrical englneer, Mr and Mrs John Scott and fanuly who are reslding now 1n Trhudad, Mr Scott's home I ve heard the Scotts are very much exc1ted about the1r return to the Umted States Mr Scott, wants to see Notre Dame where he spent h1s college l1fe, and Mrs Scott, the for mer Sh1rley Motyer, rs longing for those famlhar v1cm1t1es north and south east of Howard City Speaking of Howard C1ty reminds me of that prominent young man Russell johnson who got hrs start there 1n the Roxy Theater Now Mr johnson is marrxed and has several little Russes plus a huge Cham of Theaters throughout the Unlted States, known as the Russes' Roxys It's true that he's acqulred his millions but bel1eve me he's really worked and worked hard I read 1n the evening paper that because of a ragmg fever 1n the Panama which has struck Bobby, Mr and Mrs Bud Rogers' yotmgest son xt was impossible for them to attend the races Mrs Rogers, the former Jeanne Paulen wxshed very much to get to Kentucky to have a reumon w1th her dear cousin Mrs Robert Zoller better known as Marilyn Paulen who now re s1des 1n San Francxsco Mr and Mrs Zoller have made a model home whxch has every appli ance controlled by radar This will be deflmtely the house of tomorrow Not only is lt the house of tomorrow but, as an old professor of Amer1can Gov't would say, lt w1ll soon be a nossessxon of each every day common garden varlety Amer1can, and at an amazing low cost Ive had a hard day and lost my money and now l'l1 settle for a good dinner and a good mght s sleep Goodmght from your all Star reporter unt1l tomorrow when again meet the people ANNUAL 'PAFF Seated- Wava Denton, M1ss Pendleton, Shxrley Motyer, B111 Spence, Marjory Wr1ght, JoAnn Meier, M1nn1e Sm1th.
