Glas-5 iliisturg As a group of twenty-four fearful members, the CLASS OF '52 entered HOVEN HIGH SCHOOL. It was September, 1948--a year to be reme bered. Sister M. Tarcisia was our class advisor, while Jack Janis was our class president. Kenneth Banik and Rita Bertha were candidates for Homecoming Day. We returned in our SOPHDMORE year with twenty-two members Herbert Frost, Hugh Bans, and later on, Rita Bertha deserted us, so that our number ras reduced to twenty one Our class advisor was Mr Richard Fadgen and our class president, Mary Joan Titgen Homecoming candidates were Janice Simon 8gdTg cg Janis Many of our members participated in the operetta, HOLLYWOOD During our JUNIOR year, Willis Leno Joined the class, again bringing the number up to twenty two Our class play UFRESH AIRW was a great success Our class advisor was Sister M Marcel a, our class president was Jeanette Schaefer The 'Hawaiian Theme' was effectively carried out as our prom decoration Bette Rose Arbach and Melvin Simon were Homecoming candidates Mary Kay Litzen and Melvin Simon were selected as NGIRL STATER' and WBOY STATER,n respectively On September H, 1951, those FRESHIES of '48 were at last SEN ORS' Willis Leno moved to Aberdeen, while Kenneth Banik joined the Air Force However, Loretta Hoffert and Henry Waldman came in, and again our class numbered twenty two Superintendent Novak was our class advisor and Melvin Simon our class president An unusual honor came to our class when Bette Rose Arbach was chosen county DAR representative Mary Joan Titgen and Donald Koehn were PIXY QUEEN and MARSHAL, respectively As the time draws near the close of our high school days, and we reminisce a bit, we feel a Just pride in both our scholastic and extra curricular accomplishments We believe that we are leaving a record worth emulating The effective methods and high standards of our school have helped us to fit ourselves, to a great extent for our future vocations We wish to thank her for being truly an 'ALMA M.ATER to us Qlass Ding As the Annual goes to press R O U Q H as their class play Some of the class members ar pictured reading and apparently S enjoying the play I I . i .
