C ass ns1ixr In September l9b7 the CLASS OF '51 entered HOVEN HIGH SCHOOL as students for the first time The class consisted of twenty-four members Our class advisor was Sister M Tarcisia and Betty Ann Goebel our class president We began our BOPHOMORE year with eighteen members but Dennis Tltgen and Anthony Engel brought our ranks back to twenty All st dents were active in extra-curriculars, including BOYS' CHORUS which was started that year Our class advisor was Nr Potts and Roger Klein class president In our JUNIOR year, Lorraine Lesmelster joined the class She brought our number up to twenty-one That year the MUSIC DEPARTMENT introduced OPERETTAS in HOVEN HIGH 'HOLLYWOOD ON THE DANUBE' was presented and it proved tc be a great success It was well liked and many of our class participated Our class play, 'COME OVER TO OUR HOUSE' was also immensely successful Our class advisor was Sister M Marcella, our class president, Betty Ann Goebel The PROM decorations fell to our lot, and the IRISH TH NE was effectively carried out Everyone commented on its grandeur People from cut of town said the decorations were the most beautiful in the State September 6 1950 was a red letter 'day for twenty students of ROVER went over big Our class advisor was Superintendent Novak, and Betty Ann Goebel class president As the time draws closer, when we must leave, we find that we have left a record, in both scholastic work and ln extra currlculars We feel it ls a flne one, and something for future classes to emulate We also feel that these four years will be of great value to us, due to the effective methods and high standards of HOVEN HIGH SCHOOL We wish to thank her for being truly an 'ALMA MATER' to us MOHO Be CL Luf'IErfNo1fc1, Lecuier CICLSS Colors Green and Gold Classflower Whlfmse H' HIGH SCHOOL, who were SENIORS at- last.
