all Salutatory Address ----- Kay Marsh Parents, faculty, classmates, and friends. In behalf of the faculty a.nd members of the class of 1955, I welcome you to this honor day program. The days we have spent here in high school have been the happiest days of our lives a.nd will always be remembered. We realize that the good things we have received would not have been possible if it had not been for the efforts of our parents, faculty members, and those who have helped to support our school. School life is a stage whe re each stu- dent plays his little part in the drama of education. Today we assemble for the last scene, the finale which brings the end of high school and the commencements of new endeavors. To you who have in former years attended various honor assemblies this occasion may seem like the same old thing , but to us, the actors of this drama, it is a thrilling event. To you this may be nut an hour of entertainment, but to us it is 1 scene of triumph. Having fought the long irawn-out battle with our books, we have been crowned with diplomas and honors which to us means, Well done, thou good and faithful student . I sincerely hope that you students will receive as much enjoyment and benefit from your remaining days at Houston High School as we, the class of 1955, have received.
