SQ ' 0 In September l945, twenty-six green Freshmen started their struggle g through High School. At first lt' seemed hard, but after we learned the ' E ways of our Higher Classmen it dldn't seem as if we were having Such 5 sf sg difficult life. Ruth Ginn and Bob Penrod were honored by being invited to Q , . X S' the Junior-Senior Banquet. We held two very exciting Parties' The first E S Q , S was at Nick Royon's, with a big bonfire, hotdogs, and a hayride. Our sec- e -- ,-1-agp' Q ond party was held at Calvin McCorkle's. x X In September 1944 twenty-four Sophomores started their second year of Q is P J E High School. That year our title was changed from green Freshmen to silly S S S Sophomores. Opal Wehneman and Ralph Brovm were invited to the Junior-Sen- f 4 Q, mi .X lor Banquet. Our only class party was held at the home of Junior Rhoades. S W' Sixteen jolly Juniors started their third year of High School in the get ig fall of 1945. In October we started practicing for our Junior Play. All Q? ' l sb S x Q the class enjoyed play -practice. On October 25, 1945 we were ready to pre- Q sent our play entitled Who Killed Aunt Caroline? On April 25, 1946, we s W H 1 is gave a banquet honoring the Seniors. Our class parties were held at Norma S Y Short's and Wh1pp's cabin. K XSS S S Sw' Q At lust, in September 1946, fifteen dignified Seniors started their ,gfsg S fx ' X' we final year of High School. Ralph Brovm, Junior Rhoades, Herman Rhodehamel, as s 5 VSRXR and Nick Royon participated in basketball. Opal Wehneman served as presi- N S. SQ dent of' the Latin Club for 5 years. Ronnie Whitehouse had the privilege of S N being president of the Spanish Club. Nick Royon was honored by being pre- sident of the F.F'.A. for 2 years, John Leist was the secretary fcr 2 years, k 3-H Q Q and Junior Rhoades was the treasurer for 2 years. X E We pave a class play, entitled The Groom Said No , on March 27, 1947. O The Junior-Senior Banquet was oziven in our honor on April 24, 1947. Sf' The Baccalaureate Services were held on the evening of May 18, 1947. A I m . On May 22, fifteen Seniors graduated in the Houston auditorium.
