Each year a boy and a girl are elected to the council by the students of each respective class. Each councilman serves from the time of his election until graduation. Therefore, the freshman class is represented by two stu- dents, the sophomore class by four students, the iunior class by six students, and the senior class by eight students. The primary purpose of the council is to act as a liason between the student body and the faculty. During the school year 1957-58 the members of the Student Council have con- ducted the following proiects in addition to their everyday tasks: l. Conducting and sponsoring the Curtis Campaign that has resulted in the presentation of a new piano to the school. 2 Revising and publishing a new freshman handbook in order that incoming freshmen may be better acquainted with the school. 3 Supervising a winter noon recreation program for the benefit of those stu- dents who stay at school during the lunch hour. 4. Conducting a candy sale program during recess. 5. Sponsoring dances after home basketball games. This page is sponsored by GREENS LATIN CLUB First row: H. Dickinson, R. Kirk, L. Thomas, J.
