P 2 The best is not too much. This challenging statement attracted my attention the other day and has been constantly in my mind since. As the students of Houlton High School, particularly the class of 1956, face the future, what a compliment they would pay to their parents, school, and community if they could adopt these words as their life motto. As principal and friend of each of you I would like to think that in your years at Houlton High School you had mastered more than subject matterg that you had learned the basic principles of lifeg that each of you will be able to say truthfully: The best is not too much for me to attain.
