NE ee and Principal Speak Time waits on no one. It seems like only yesterday the 1964 Bobcat put in its appearance. Yet here it is one year later and the 1965 yearbook is being distributed as the 1964-65 school year draws rapidly to a close. To be sure time will affect a change and Houghton Lake High School will en- deavor to keep abreast of the changing educational scene. New educational plans will be formulated and carried out, cur- riculum changes will undoubtedly take place, new buildings and new facilities will be added as the need arises, and new faces will replace the familiar ones but nothing will change the content of your '65 Bobcat. May the '65 Bobcat forever serve as a memento of the 1964-65 school year, and here's hoping that school year has been as enjoyable to each of you as it has for anes In closing, I would like to congratulate Mr. Donald Fockler, yearbook advisor; Mardel Vincent, its editor; Mr. Arthur Kenney, professional photographer, and the entire annual staff on a job well done. Golyo B. Cayton, Princtpol 5

The Superintendent The time has come when, after thirteen : years of school, the Seniors of 1965 have reached a milestone. This milestone is not the same one reached twenty-five years ago. This graduation milestone has re- duced to no more than a ripple. It now is just a slight jolt as a reminder that, for you, there are many more years of edu- cation to come. In fact, it is now be- lieved you will have to re-educate your- self three times during your lifetime. Your future is extremely interesting. Some of the things you will witness and be a part of were considered miracles twenty-five years ago. 1965 Seniors, may I offer you my congratulations, and wish you many, many successes, Donald P. Meyer, Superintendent, The Meyers L. to R.--Dan, Mrs. Meyer, Judy, Karen, Sarah, Mr. Meyer, Eric and Jeanie. The Saxtons | L. to R.--Mr. and Mrs. Saxton, Steven and Brad.
