Junior Class Here we start a new year in school as Juniors, with only one more year of high school to go, not stopping to realize iust how fast the years have flown by. Well to get on, we started out the new school year by appointing our class officers. They are as follows: President- Bill Julian Vice-President - Cheri Rochon Secretary - Sandra Stuck Treasurer - Mary Fouty Student Council - Beverly Akin Next on the agenda for the year was to plan for our float which was to be in the Homecoming parade and to elect a candidate for Homecoming queen and king. For our float we displayed the before and after effects of a float, before and after the parade. The king candidate was Louis Bell and Pat Belill represented our class as the queen candidate. Then our class rings came and for days the first thing any Junior would say to you when they met you in the hall was, 'Hey you nub, take a gander at my class ring. This year one event has led to another and the next big affair was the Sno-Ball, a gala affair when Miss Houghton Lake was crowned for 1954. The queen candidates who represented the Junior class were Sandra Stuck and Ruth Bell. We also have the school paper this year, under the supervision of Mr. Drought. Now we come to the Junior play which was en- titled One Wild Night under the direction of Mrs. Wenig. At the closing of the year we sponsored the annual Junior and Senior Banquet and the Junior and Senior Prom. Summing the year up we have had a very successful year thanks to the supervision given us by our class advisers Mrs. Wenig and Mr. Deter.
